Sonoran Sunset

was an interesting painting for me.  I started it in 1997 (hence the signature).  We had just returned from a trip to Arizona and I had taken quite a number of sunset pictures.  The original, 1997 painting reflected only the sunset background and the very dark foreground at the bottom.  I wasn’t really happy with the result so it set in my studio for years.  Then, after a few more trips to Arizona, more pictures and more experience, I decided to add the mountains in the background and the Saguaro cactus, etc. in the foreground.  Made it a painting that I can now be happy with.  When at first you don’t succeed, try, try again!

This is a 14×18 oil painting finished with probably 5-6 coats of varnish.

It is for sale for $185 to include a 1 3/8″ smooth black satin frame (picture with frame available upon request).  Satisfaction guaranteed.  If you are not happy with the painting for any reason after receiving it, just send it back for a full refund.

Thank you so much for your interest.
