This painting was based on a photo I took near the base of Yosemite Falls. I was particularly attracted to the single pine standing alone near the base, highlighted by the rainbow effect from the sun in the mist of the falls. I’ve always wanted to hike Yosemite Falls but never seemed to be able to get beyond the lower falls. Still… pretty amazing!
