Knights Ferry Sunrise

The primary inspiration for this painting was some photos I took of a pasture off Highway 120 just before it runs into Highway 108 east of Knights Ferry.  The final composition borrowed the tree from another hill nearby and horses that grazed nearby as well.  I also did a sunset painting  of a nearby pasture which I named “Knights Ferry Sunset”.  It seemed appropriate to name them similarily since they have similar themes and depict nearby locations.  This is a 13.5″x14″ oil on canvas.  I made the unique frame from some small trees that we removed from our yard in Pine Mountain Lake – my first attempt at live edge woodwork.  It seems to fit the scene pretty well, so I’m happy with it.

This painting is done on canvas board with 5-6 layers of Damar varnish.  It is for sale for $195 to include the unique frame and shipping within the the United States.  Satisfaction guaranteed.  Full refund with return paid by the Buyer.
