I took several reference photos for this painting during a day trip to Yosemite with my wife in early October 2019.  What really attracted my attention were the clouds as they drifted by against the cliffs.  The sun was filtered but it highlighted the meadow which I thought was particularly beautiful.  I have to admit that I added a lot of water to the falls since they were actually pretty low on this particular trip.  Painted October 2020
