I took the reference photos for this painting from Sentinel Bridge in Oct 2018.  It’s amazing how beautiful Yosemite is regardless of the time of year you visit.  This was a particularly crisp and quiet day and the water was so clear and calm that you could see right through to the rocks and even a few fish below the surface.

This painting is currently framed in a simple, 2″ handmade barnwood  frame that I made from an old wood fence that we removed.  The painting is varnished with 4 coats of Dammar varnish.
