This painting was inspired by a photo I took of two cows and their calves in a pasture just past the Hwy 120/ 108 junction on the road to Yosemite. This particular section of the photo had an interesting composition since the calf appeared to encouraging his Mom to keep moving. I think he was more interested in the thicker grass up the hill.
