The reference photo for this painting was taken on Dec 18, 2019 on 17 mile drive near Carmel California. I was particularly attracted to the atmospheric perspective provided by the ocean mist, the breaking waves and the hills in the distance.  That area is so beautiful, no matter what the weather is like!
