The original of this painting was sold from the Wild Rose Gallery in Jamestown, CA in September 2019.

This was a 16″x20″ oil painting on  canvas board treated with 3 coats of gesso to smooth the texture of the canvas, and finally treated with three coats of Damar varnish.  Inspiration for this painting came from photos taken while Volksmarching in Germany with my family in 1979-1981.

I can recreate this painting in a canvas print up to 16×20 for $95, plus $35 for a simple, smooth black satin 1 1/4″ frame or a 2″ barnwood frame if desired. The final product would be hand retouched as necessary and varnished to approximate the original painting.  Satisfaction guaranteed.  If you are not satisfied with the final product, simply return it for a full refund.

“Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;…”   Robert Frost
